Description

Designed by Starling Burgess to defend the honour of the United States of America, Rainbow, winner of the 1934 America's Cup, was skippered by Mr. Harold Vanderbilt, who had commissioned the yacht specifically to beat the strong contender Endeavour.

Kit features plank-on-frame construction with laser cut keel, frames and deck; double planking in lime wood and mahogany; metal and wooden fittings; cloth sails; detailed wooden mast; brass photoetched parts; plans and detailed instructions.

Great plan set of another legendary J Class boat. I will use these to scale them up to build a large RC model.
